According to an Ontario Association of Food Banks report, 17,000 new households began using food banks in 2014 in the province.
Students and teachers at Timmins High and Vocational School will be going door-to-door in Wards 1 and 5 the morning of Thursday, April 2, collecting non-perishable food items for the Timmins Food Bank and First Baptist Church Food Bank.
Time: 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
We need your help! Staff and students are hoping to make Easter bright for many families.
Please donate generously when we come to your home, or leave food visible on your front porch for collection.
