There's a full schedule at the pool and for public skating

The City of Timmins has a busy holiday swim and public skating schedule planned. All of the swimming is at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex and is free. The cost for public skating is $5 per person, except for sponsored skates, which are free. This week's schedule is:

Tuesday, Dec. 27

  • 9:30-11 a.m., open swim 
  • 11-11:50 a.m., public skating at the Sportsplex
  • 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., adult swim
  • 1-1:50 p.m., free public skating at the McIntyre Arena sponsored by Canadian Tire

Wednesday, Dec. 28

  • 9:30-11 a.m., open swim 
  • 11-11:50 a.m., public skating at the McIntyre Arena
  • 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., adult swim
  • 1-1:50 p.m., public skating at the Whitney Arena

Thursday, Dec. 29

  • 9:30-11 a.m., open swim 
  • 11-11:50 a.m., public skating at the Whitney Arena
  • 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., adult swim
  • 1-1:50 p.m., public skating at the McIntyre Arena

Friday, Dec. 30 

  • 9:30-11 a.m., open swim 
  • 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., adult swim
  • 12-12:50 p.m., public skating at the McIntyre Arena
  • 1-2:30 p.m., open swim 
  • 2-2:50 p.m., public skating at the Whitney Arena
  • 5:45-7:15 p.m., open swim 

Saturday, Dec. 31

  • 9:30-11 a.m., open swim 
  • 10-10:50 a.m., public skating at the McIntyre Arena
  • 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., adult swim
  • 12-12:50 p.m., public skating at the Sportsplex

Honouring the Past
Runs until Dec. 30
Timmins Museum: NEC, 325 Second Ave.

An exhibit by members of the Porcupine Art Club. It explores elements of the past in the community and of a more personal nature. The exhibit features work from 21 current members and work from past members Evelyn Rymer, Heili Ellefson and Doris Sturgeon.
