There are six new faces at the Timmins Chamber board.
The new members were recently elected to sit on the 21-member board for 2024-25. Chamber members voted online for the members.
"Our newly elected board members bring a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives that will be instrumental in leveraging the opportunities available for our business community," said Tom Faught Jr., incoming 2024-25 Chamber president, in a news release.
“The economic climate in Northern Ontario presents unique challenges, including the rising costs of doing business. The Timmins Chamber remains steadfast in its commitment to collaborate with all levels of government and will continue to address barriers to business through innovative solutions to support community growth.”
Now that they've been elected, the new members will be sworn in at the Chamber's annual general meeting on Sept. 4. Board members serve a two-year term and can apply for re-election for a maximum of three terms.
