Editor's Note: OPP reports the highway has reopened. However, there is now a closure on Highway 11 from Matheson to Longlac.
The weather conditions have closed a large section of Highway 11.
Highway 11 is closed from Matheson at the Highway 101 intersection to Thibeault Hill in North Bay, according to OPP.
If you were looking to travel to Sudbury, Highway 144 is also closed from Highway 101 to Cartier.
Highway 101 is also closed from Timmins to Chapleau.
