An afternoon of fun will mean minor disruptions to traffic.
This Saturday (Dec. 2), is the holiday fun day in downtown Timmins. To allow for the festivities, Second Avenue will be closed to traffic in both directions between Brunette and Spruce from 1-4 p.m.
The free holiday fun is being offered at three locations.
At the Timmins Public Library you can meet Santa Claus and there's a gift for every child, there will also be storytelling and holiday music, holiday bookmarks to colour and activity sheets, and a free holiday book for every child.
At the Timmins Museum: NEC you can check out the community gingerbread contest entries and vote for your favourite creation. There's hot chocolate and Timbits, live music, temporary Christmas tattoos and a warming station at the Timmins Economic Development Corporation.
On Second Avenue, you can explore emergency vehicles and roast marshmallows. More on the event is available here.
