There’s only about a month to apply for funding from Sports for Kids Timmins this winter.

Applications for most sports close on Sept. 15, and those looking for financial support to get their children involved in sports can apply with Sports for Kids Timmins.

To qualify, families need to provide a 2023 notice of assessment for all adults supporting the child, pay stubs or social assistant stubs for July 2024, and a completed application, which is available here.

The income threshold for families looking for help is $41,000 per year for one child, $45,000 per year for two children, $50,000 for three children and $54,000 for four or more children.

While funding for dance programs closed in July, funding is still available for hockey, martial arts, swimming, bowling, figure skating, fitness alternatives, gym membership (14-18 years), selects basketball, ringette, cross country skiing/biathlon, ski racers and indoor soccer.

Applications can be submitted with documentation through [email protected] with more information available on the Sports for Kids Timmins websition
