Northeastern Ontario Rotary clubs are supporting their local healthcare foundations.

Both the Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine and the Rotary Club of Kirkland Lake have made significant donations to the healthcare centres and foundations in their communities.

In Timmins, the Rotary Club donated $50,000 to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation for renovations and upcoming improvements to the emergency department at the hospital.

In Kirkland Lake, Rotary raised over $11,000 to go toward the Blanche River Health Foundation to support the Kirkland Lake hospital’s physiotherapy program. The money will go toward new equipment.

Both organizations are members of Rotary International, which has over 35,000 clubs worldwide.

The Rotary Club of Timmins-Porcupine also recently sold tickets in support of the Hollinger's Ladies Golf Tournament’s raffle. The club raised over $15,000 in ticket sales.
