Take a hike and learn about a number of topics this weekend.
The Wintergreen Fund for Conservation is hosting its annual Winter Hiking Day on Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Hersey Lake Conseration Area.
It's a chance to get out in nature, meet new people, see new areas and learn about the local ecology.
The guided hike times are:
- 10 a.m. to noon - Birding hike Roxanne Filion
- 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Forest education snowshoe hike with Hack Waldon
- 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Forest therapy walk with Aimée Lavoie
- 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Natural history of Hersey Lake hike with Kees Pols
- 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. - Talking with the trees with Mark Joron
