TIMMINS - Wondering what to do with your Christmas tree after the holidays?
For people with real trees, the City of Timmins offers several drop-off sites that are open today (Dec. 27) until Jan. 10.
There is no curbside service for Christmas trees, they must be brought to one of the locations. The sites are for natural trees only, decorations and bags are not allowed.
The locations are:
- Ward 1 - Mountjoy Arena
- Ward 2 - Public works yard on Evans Street, Tisdale transfer site
- Ward 3 - Schumacher Fire Hall off of Dwyer Avenue
- Ward 4 - Whitney Arena, public works yard on Falcon Street, Connaught Community Centre, Hoyle Community Centre
- Ward 5 - Civic Park, Archie Dillon Sportsplex, Deloro Landfill on Pine Street South, Confederation Arena
