Timmins' Meghan Mahon is competing in Paris at the Paralympics. Part of the six-member goalball team, they're playing their second game in the preliminary round. They started the tournament with a 10-0 win over France on Aug. 29. CBC has TV coverage of the Paralympics, and the goalball games can be streamed online. Matheson Fall Fair

This annual fair offers a variety of activities for the whole family. There's traditional agricultural exhibits and contest, live auction, dunk tank, parade, and more. Check out the event schedules on the Matheson and District Agricultural Society Facebook page. The fairground admission is $10 each and free for kids 12 years and under.
