Summer Concert Series 
Tuesday, July 23, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Schumacher Lions Club Park behind the McIntyre Community Building 

ColdWater is taking the stage for the free weekly concert. If weather stops the show, the rain date is the following day (Wednesday). Bring a chair and some cash for the community barbecue. It’s hosted by the Timmins Concert Series and Schumacher Lions Club.

Downtown Timmins Urban Park 
Wednesday, July 24, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Third Avenue between Spruce Street South and Balsam 

It’s Olympic week at the Urban Park, which features community organizations and children’s activities. Third Avenue is closed to traffic during the event.

This three-piece band from Southern Ontario covers the songs that will have you rockin' all night long. You'll hear songs from their extensive repertoire from Judas Priest, ZZ Top, and Pink Floyd to Van Halen, with a smattering of Billy Joel and Johnny Cash.

This popular market is set up weekly until Thanksgiving. Stop by every week to pick up fresh local food, shop the crafters and artisans, and learn more about local organizations.

Summer Open Studio
Sunday, July 28, 12 - 4 p.m.
Roy Nicholson Park, Pine Street North and 8th Avenue

Drop by the Porcupine Art Club to meet with the artists, see demonstrations, and learn about the club. Artwork is on display and for sale. All ages are welcome to visit, and there is no cost to attend. Rain or shine, the studio is open!

Wild Alchemy
Runs until Aug. 29
Timmins Museum: NEC, 325 Second Ave.

This exhibit by the Broken Forest is in the Grey Gallery. The show tends to focus on our gaze on loss of biodiversity in the forest and asserts a metaphysical connection to the trees that is also threatened. It includes artists from Poland, Germany, the United States, Brazil, Colombia and Canada. There is a performance by some of the artists on Wednesday, July 24 from 6-8 p.m. The museum is open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
