TIMMINS - If you're parking your car on the street, take note!

The City of Timmins on-street parking ban starts Nov. 1 and runs until April 30.

Vehicles parked on the street, boulevard or city-owned parking lots between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. will be subject to a $50 fine. If it's not paid within three days the fine increases to $75. The vehicle may also be towed at the expense of the owner. Streets exempt from the ban have signs indicating it.

If you're putting up a winter car shelter, you'll need to buy a $15 permit. To be approved, you'll have to submit an application that includes a site plan to Service Timmins.

Service Timmins can be reached at service.timmins.ca or by calling 705-264-1331.
