The Timmins Police Service arrested three local residents on the strength of respective arrest warrants which were executed at the scene of three separate incidents that occurred over the weekend.
While responding to an unwanted person call for service at a Preston Street residence during the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 2, a Timmins Police Service officer recognized the subject of the complaint as being a wanted person named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result, Richard Moore, 41 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to charges resulting in the arrest warrant being issued.
Later that same morning, in a separate incident, a disturbance in progress call for service was received in the Pine Street North area.
A Timmins Police Service officer responded and located the subject of the complaint and recognized him as being a wanted person named in a current arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result, Richard Hookimaw, 39 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant and was charged with:
• enter premises when entry prohibited contrary to the Trespass to Property Act
He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against him.
In a separate incident that occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 3 at a vacant Maple Street North apartment, a Timmins Police officer responded to a suspicious person call for service.
A Timmins Police Service officer responded and located the subject of the complaint.
The responding Timmins Police Service officer recognized the subject as being a wanted person named in a current Arrest Warrant held by the Timmins Police.
Once the validity of the warrant was confirmed, the subject was arrested by the Timmins Police Service.
As a result, Cynthia Cayouette, 38 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.
She remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against her.
