NEW LISKEARD - Police are investigating after four bodies were found in a structure fire.
First responders were called to the structure fire on Paget Street South in New Liskeard yesterday (Sept. 19) around 5:30 p.m. OPP say four people were found dead in the residence.
"While the investigation is still in the preliminary stages, police believe there is no risk to the public at this time. Members of the community can expect to see an increased presence of OPP personnel and vehicles in the area as the investigation continues," reads an OPP news release.
The investigation includes the Temiskaming OPP crime unit, forensic identification services, the Ontario Fire Marshal and the coroner's office.
