TIMMINS - One person received minor injuries in a four-vehicle crash that closed a busy road for hours.
The crash involving two commercial motor vehicles (CMVs), a pick-up truck and a passenger vehicle happened yesterday (Nov. 20) morning on Laforest Road near Airport Road.
One of the drivers has been charged with careless driving and one driver sustained minor injuries, Timmins Police said today.
Laforest Road was closed for about seven hours.
"Environmental services were required to clean the highway and nearby ditches due to fluids spilled by one of the commercial vehicles," said Timmins Police communications co-ordinator Michelle St. Louis in an email.
Laforest Road is part of the detour around the Connecting Link work downtown Timmins, which meant that heavy truck traffic was diverted down Jubilee and Ross during the closure.
