TEMISKAMING SHORES - A driver is facing an impaired-related charge after two separate accidents on Highway 11 North involving the same person.
On Nov. 27 around 1:30 p.m., Temiskaming OPP responded to a fail-to-remain collision, on Highway 11 in Temiskaming Shores.
Officers responding to the call came across a second collision on Highway 11 about five kilometres south of the initial accident.
"The driver was arrested for impaired driving after the investigation revealed the same vehicle was involved in both incidents," said police in a news release.
A 26-year-old from Englehart is charged with:
- Failure or refusal to comply with a demand
- Fail to remain at the scene of an accident
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on Jan. 7, 2025.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty,
