Nearly $90K drugs seized, Timmins man facing trafficking charges

Crystal meth, cocaine, magic mushrooms among items seized

TIMMINS - Cocaine, meth and magic mushrooms are among the nearly $90,000 of drugs seized by police this week. 

The Timmins Police Service and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (TPS) drug units executed a search warrant at a Maple Street South residence on the afternoon of Sept. 4. 

Police seized about 2,225 methamphetamine tablets, 132 grams of cocaine, 705.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 132.9 grams of psilocybin mushrooms (magic mushrooms). The estimated street value of the seizure is $89,939.

Adam Chircoski, 40, of Timmins is charged with: 

  • Trafficking in Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamines (Crystal Meth)
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

The accused is in police custody and has a bail hearing on Sept. 9. 

None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
