Police seize fentanyl, cash executing search warrants

Five people are facing charges, police looking to locate 20-year-old for charges linked to event

The culmination of an intensive investigation by the Timmins Police Service – Drug Enforcement Section has resulted in the execution of two search warrants late yesterday afternoon (22 July) at a Mclean Drive residence and a Fifth Avenue apartment unit in Timmins. 

Timmins Police Service – Drug Enforcement Section officers coordinated the execution of these search warrants with the Timmins Police Service – Emergency Response Team (ERT) members. 

Upon executing the warrant at the Fifth Avenue location, a number of persons found within the apartment were arrested. 

The search of the unit resulted in the following items being located and seized as evidence: 

A quantity of Fentanyl with a street value of $36,960 was seized. 

Additionally the following was also seized as evidence: 

• $2,875.00 in Canadian currency

• assorted drug paraphernalia. 

As a result of the incident, 

• Amanda Doire, age 33, of Timmins

• Terrell Ochrym, age 41, of the Toronto area

• Angelica Wright, age 32, of the Toronto area

• Lenardo Jones-Alleyne, aged 23 of the Toronto area 

have been charged respectively with: 

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

• Possession of a Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada 

All of the above with the exception of Ms. Doire face additional counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada 

All of the above remain in police custody for the purposes of conducting a Bail Hearing which is slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charge laid against them. 

Upon executing the warrant at the McLean Drive residence, a single person was arrested and taken into police custody. 

The search of the unit resulted in the following items being located and seized as evidence 

A quantity of Fentanyl, Xanax tablets, a set of brass knuckles (prohibited weapon) and an air pellet hand gun and other drug paraphernalia was seized. 

The street value of the controlled substances and the other exhibits seized as evidence is approximately $900.00. 

As a result of the incident Sha‘Twain Moore, age 22, of North York, has been charged with: 

• Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to the 

Controlled Drug and Substances Act 

• Possession of a Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada 

He has been released from police custody on the strength of an Undertaking that compels him to attend at Provincial Court in Timmins on October 6th to answer to the charges laid against him. 

The Timmins Police Service is still seeking to locate a 20 year old male on the strength of an Arrest Warrant for charges linked to this event.
