Police traffic enforcement leads to numerous charges for drivers

On Wednesday, July 3, Timmins Police Service conducted dedicated traffic enforcement.

By the end of the day, the following charges were issued:

  • four charges for speeding
  • three charges of amber light fail to stop
  • one charge for illegal tinting
  • two charges for obstruct plate
  • one charge for disobey stop sign
  • one charge for fail to wear seat belt – driver
  • one charge for operation while impaired – drugs
  • two warnings for ATV on highway (bylaw)

In total, approximately 20 vehicles were stopped by Timmins Police Service.

Timmins Police Service would like to remind all drivers of the importance of adhering to traffic laws to ensure the safety of all road users.
