EDITOR'S NOTE: Highway 101 has reopened in both directions. In an update around 6:20 p.m., police said one person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The traffic unit is investigating.

TIMMINS - A crash on Rea Hill is affecting traffic on the main road between Schumacher and South Porcupine.

Timmins Police says that eastbound traffic on Highway 101 is down to a single lane and westbound traffic is being redirected to the back road (Gold Mine Road).

Police did not say when the crash collision happened, how many vehicles are involved or if there are any injuries.

"Police are asking that the public avoid the area. An update will be provided once the highway is reopened," said police.
