KIRKLAND LAKE - A second person has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery.
On Jan. 4 around 2 a.m., Kirkland Lake OPP were called to a robbery at a Station Road apartment.
The caller told police that three people broke in, assaulted the caller and three other people in the apartment, then fled the scene. The victims sustained minor injuries and declined medical help.
A 36-year-old woman was charged in January.
Police have now arrested a second person.
A 32-year-old woman from Kirkland Lake is charged with:
- Break and enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence
- Robbery with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
The accused is in police custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 27 in Kirkland Lake.
Police are still looking for the third suspect.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
