MATTICE-VAL CÔTÉ - Police are asking for the public's help to find a stolen shotgun and rifles.
It's believed that the guns were stolen from a King Street residence in Mattice sometime between October 2021 and April 2024, said James Bay OPP.
The stolen items are:
- A 12-gauge shotgun, Winchester Model 50
- An 8mm bolt action rifle, Remington Model 700
- A bolt action rifle, Ceskoslovenska Zbrojovka, AS, BRNO Model 257ACK
- A .303 calibre rifle, of unknown make or model
"Procuring stolen firearms is a serious criminal offence, and holding those responsible accountable is essential to ensuring a safer community for everyone," said police in a news release.
