HALLÉBOURG - A teen has been charged following a serious crash involving a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) and pick-up truck on Highway 11 in the summer.
On Aug. 11 around 3:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a head-on crash involving two vehicles Highway 11 near Hallébourg, which is between Mattice and Hearst.
The driver of the pick-up truck, a 17-year-old from Hearst, has been charged with careless driving, said James Bay OPP in a news release.
The crash closed a section of the highway for nearly 12 hours.
The CMV driver received minor injuries. The pick-up truck driver was extricated from the vehicle and brought to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, said police.
