On Saturday, June 21, the community will celebrate the first batch of inductees into the new Timmins Sports Heritage Hall of Fame (TSHHF).
Sixty inductees in four categories - athletes, teams, builders and friends of sports - will be represented during the official TSHHF launch at the McIntyre Community Building.
The 60 honourees include Olympians, ParaOlympians, Special Olympians, NHLers, local athletes and volunteers.
Festivities kick off at 12:30 p.m. as dignitaries, guests and the general public are invited to attend free of charge.

- 1:10 to 1:15 p.m. - Performance of Charlie Angus' The Bill Barilko Song
- 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. - Induction ceremony part 1
- 2:15 to 2:30 p.m. - Break
- 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. - Induction ceremony part 2 and performance from Steve Fruitman
- 3:45 to 4 p.m. - Move upstairs to the auditorium
- 4 to 5 p.m. - Ribbon cutting and Hall grand opening
