With people enjoying the free outdoor concerts, more shows have been added to this year's roster.
This summer, the Schumacher Lions have been offering concerts every second Tuesday and the regular Summer Concert Series has shows every couple of weeks on Wednesdays at Hollinger Park.
An additional night of music has been added to Schumacher. A summer concert has also been organized for Bannerman Park in Porcupine.
Tonight in the Schumacher Lions Club Park next to the McIntyre Community Centre, Estelle and John are hitting the stage at 7 p.m.
The bilingual duo is from Cochrane and Smooth Rock Falls and plays new and old country, blues, rock, pop, alternative, ballads and originals.
The extra show in Schumacher is on Tuesday, Aug. 22 and will feature Wayne and Rose at 6:30 p.m., with ColdWater playing at 7:30 p.m.
In Porcupine, the Bannerman Park Committee is holding an evening of concerts on Thursday, Aug. 17 from 6-9 p.m.
Leslie Anne Dupuis is hosting the event. The performers are Estelle and John at 6 p.m., Ron Caron at 6:45 p.m., Kyle Cote and Gabriella at 7 p.m., Ron Caron at 7:45 p.m., Leslie-Anne Dupuis at 8 p.m., and Ron Caron at 8:45 p.m. Donations of cash or non-perishable food items are being collected for the South Porcupine Food Bank.
This week, there is also a concert at Hollinger Park on Aug. 16. It starts at 6 p.m. and features Mr. Bill and The Wednesday Nighters.
