Here's where the city's removing snow this week

TIMMINS - The winter weather has arrived, which means city crews are out clearing snow.

Public works crews are doing snow removal day and night this week.

According to the City of Timmins, the schedule for overnight snow removal, which is done between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., is:

Sunday, Dec. 15

  • Timmins - Spruce from Sixth to Kirby, Pine from Sixth to Kirby, Cedar from Fifth to Kirby

Monday, Dec. 16

  • Timmins - Balsam from Fifth to First, Second Avenue, Third Avenue

Tuesday, Dec. 17

  • South Porcupine - Bruce from Lakeview to Legion. Golden from Evans to Legion, Crawford from Golden to Shamrock, Main from Strachan to Shamrock. Powell from Legion to Crawford

Wednesday, Dec. 18

  • Timmins - Birch from Fifth to First, Maple from Fifth to Second, Elm from Fifth to Second, Wilson

Daytime snow removal runs from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It will take place:

Monday, Dec. 16

  • Timmins - Elm from Second to the dead end, Maple from Second to the dead end, First from Mountjoy to Pine 
  • Schumacher - Hollinger Lane, Les Hall, Dwyer, Vipond, Fourth from Vipond to Boundary

Tuesday, Dec. 17

  • Timmins - Fifth, Birch from Fifth to the dead end, Balsam from Fifth to the dead end 
  • Schumacher - Lions Crest, Battachio, Aura Lake, Boundary, Veterans, Ponderosa, Croatia, Fourth Avenue from Boundary to Ponderosa

Wednesday, Dec. 18

  • Timmins - Birch from First to Moneta, Balsam from First to Ogden, Cedar from Kirby to Ogden

Thursday, Dec. 19

  • Timmins - Cedar from Fifth to Ross, Eighth, Ninth
  • Schumacher - Brundy, Ennis, Miners, Prospectors, Delost

Friday, Dec. 20

  • Timmins and South Porcupine - Churches and storefronts
