A 49-year-old Timmins man has been charged after an investigation into the death of Chelsea Nakogee.

The 28-year-old Porcupine woman was found behind the Porcupine Mall early the morning of Nov. 12, 2018.

Following a Timmins Police Criminal Investigations Division investigation, 49-year-old Patrick Lalonde of Timmins has been charged with one count of indignity to a dead body.

Timmins Police corporate communications co-ordinator Marc Depatie said the investigation is complete. He said there was no foul play and it was "death through misadventure."

According to police, the investigation determined a timeline as to when Nakogee was last seen, "along with events in regards to the alleged actions of a Timmins man in relation to the deceased after her death."

Lalonde is scheduled to appear in court June 25.
