Winter Storm Watch in effect for:
- Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls
Winter storm expected Monday.
What:
Significantly reduced visibilities in a combination of snow and blowing snow. Snowfall amounts near 15 cm. Wind gusts up to 80 km/h.
When:
Overnight through Monday afternoon.
Additional information:
In addition to these hazardous conditions, a sharp cold front late Monday morning or afternoon at the tail end of this winter storm will lead to sudden whiteout conditions and a sharp temperature drop.
Avoid travel if possible. If you must travel, keep others informed of your schedule and destination and carry an emergency kit and mobile phone. For information on emergency plans and kits go to getprepared.gc.ca.
