2 suspects sought after violent assault outside Timmins convenience store

Police say the suspects recorded the incident on a cellphone

Police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects they say violently assaulted someone outside of a convenience store.

On July 15 around 1:50 a.m., Cochrane District Crime Stoppers says a person was assaulted outside of the Circle K store at Algonquin Boulevard West and Cameron

"It appears the two suspects recorded their actions on a cellphone. They approached the front of the store from the west, and after assaulting the victim, returned in the same direction they come from," reads a Crime Stoppers news release.

"Both suspects appear to be lighter skinned but had attempted to hide their identities by wearing their hoods up tight."

One of the suspects was wearing a beige sweater with what appeared to be a sunset and a vehicle on it, with pants that have a stripe partway down the side, and red and black shoes with a white Air Jordan logo.

The second suspect was wearing a white sweater with a dark-coloured large logo on the back, a smaller logo on the back right shoulder and a dark logo on the front. The pants appeared to be grey with a white design around the knees, said police.

If you recognize the suspects, call Timmins Police at 705-264-1201. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
