Half a dozen guns  — including a submachine gun — and $236,000 of drugs were seized by police in Timmins this week.

Timmins Police have released more details about the advisory issued earlier this week about a heightened police presence

On Wednesday (June 19), Timmins Police executed search warrants in the south end of Timmins at three separate residences — Kirby Street, Dale Avenue and the Notre Dame Trailer Park.

The searches are the result of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation that started in mid-April in partnership with the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS). The OPP helped execute the search warrants.
