An estimated $67,000 of suspected fentanyl has been taken off the streets in Cochrane.
The seizure came about on March 14 just before 9 a.m. when James Bay OPP officers saw a known wanted person on Railway Street in Cochrane.
The suspect was arrested on a strength of warrant and officers seized a large quantity of cash and the suspected fentanyl, said OPP in a news release.
A 27-year-old from Kingston is charged with two counts of failing to complete with a release order other than to attend court, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000, trafficking a schedule I substance - opioid, and possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid.
The accused is in police custody waiting for a bail hearing.
