The victims of the second double murder in Kirkland Lake have been identified.
Kirkland Lake OPP found two bodies during a well-being check at a Kirkpatrick Street residence on Aug. 8.
The victims have now been identified as 33-year-old Lea Thompson and 37-year-old Kyle Robertson, both of Kirkland Lake.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are still looking for people with video surveillance or dashcam footage showing any part of Kirkpatrick Street or the surrounding neighbourhood from Saturday, Aug. 5 to Tuesday, Aug. 8.
This is the second double homicide in under two weeks.
Responding to a medical call on July 30, police found Amanda Lachapelle, 37, and Gabriel Marecki, 49, both of Kirkland Lake at a Woods Street residence. They were brought to the hospital, where both were pronounced dead. The case was originally said to be a death investigation and was later deemed a double murder.
