TEMISKAMING SHORES - Temiskaming OPP has arrested a man after a complaint of a driver sleeping behind the wheel at an intersection.

On Dec. 31 at 3:15 p.m., police received a call from a motorist about a driver sleeping behind the wheel at an intersection on Development Road in Harley Township.

Shortly after, the OPP located and stopped the vehicle on Highway 11 in Temiskaming Shores. The driver was arrested for impaired and taken to the Temiskaming Detachment for further testing.

A 21-year-old from New Liskeard is charged with operation while impaired - alcohol, and operation while impaired -blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

Their licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in a Haileybury court on Jan. 28.
