Highway 144 remains closed in both directions after a fatal crash this afternoon.
The two-vehicle collision involved a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) and passenger vehicle. It happened around 1 p.m. today (Oct. 8).
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, says Nipissing West OPP.
The highway is still closed between Cartier and the Watershed. Police say it will "remain closed for a period of time".
