TIMMINS - A man is facing charges after an alleged assault at the Timmins Transit station.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, Timmins Police said there was an incident at 54 Spruce St. S., which is the transit station in downtown Timmins.
The victim was brought to the hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, said police in a news release.
A 26-year-old man from Timmins is charged with assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused is in police custody and scheduled to appear in court today (Dec. 16).
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
