The OPP have charged a person in connection to a fire that damaged two residences on Government Road West in the Town of Kirkland Lake on May 5, 2022.
As result of the investigation, Peter Logie, 24 years of age of Kirkland Lake, has been arrested and charged with:
• Arson - disregard for human life, contrary to section 433(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) (two counts)
• Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order, contrary to section 117.01(1) of the CC
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on Sept. 29, 2022.
