MOOSONEE - A snowmobiler has died after a crash in a remote area of Northern Ontario.
On Jan. 16, James Bay OPP said a snowmobiler was seriously injured in a snowmobile rollover on the Moose River, which runs between Moose Factory island and Moosonee in a remote area of Northern Ontario.
The 74-year-old driver was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and succumbed to their injuries two days later, on Jan. 19.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing and involves the OPP's traffic incident management and enforcement (TIME) team.
