OPP asking for video footage in area of death investigation

Police are asking for the public's help as it investigates two deaths in Kirkland Lake. 

Kirkland Lake OPP is looking for video footage that may help with the investigation. Specifically, officers would like to see video surveillance that may show any part of Woods Street and the surrounding area from Saturday, July 29 at 7 a.m. to Sunday, July 30 at 7 p.m.

On July 30 around 4:30 p.m., Kirkland Lake OPP and the Timiskaming EMS went to a medical call at a Woods Street residence.

A 49-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were brought to the hospital by ambulance, where both were pronounced dead. Post mortems were scheduled for today (Aug. 1). 

Police believe the incident is isolated and there's no immediate threat to public safety.
