KAPUSKASING - James Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision (MVC) on Belanger Road North in Kapuskasing involving a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle.
On Oct. 30, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the James Bay OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision. Police located a person deceased at the scene, where a side-by-side ATV was turned over on its side in the ditch of Belanger Road North.
The OPP's Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team and Technical Collison Investigator (TCI) are assisting with this investigation.
The investigation is ongoing under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS). A postmortem examination is scheduled to take place at a later time.
