TIMMINS - Two people are facing charges in a couple of the break-ins that happened in downtown Timmins last week.
There has been a rash of break-ins recently, with at least four businesses targeted last week. A block of Third Avenue was also closed on Friday for the investigation into a weapons incident.

Two people were arrested on Friday in relation to break-and-enters in the downtown core.
Timmins Police says that a 30-year-old man from Timmins is accused of breaking into two businesses. He is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and two counts of break-and-enter.
He is in police custody and is slated to appear in court on Dec. 18.
A 45-year-old from Timmins is also charged with possession of break-in instruments.
He was arrested while trying to break into a downtown building, said police. The accused is in police custody and is scheduled for a bail hearing today.
Police are still investigating the other break-ins that have been reported.
More details on the Third Avenue weapons investigation are expected later today.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused are considered innocent unless proven guilty.
