Poor weather conditions have closed Highway 129 from Thessalon to Chapleau.
The closure started around 9 a.m. today (March 5), say OPP.
A winter storm warning is in effect for the region. So far, this is the only stretch of road closed.
Driving on a closed highway is not only illegal but also puts both your life and the lives of first responders at risk, said OPP in a news release.
Motorists who drive on a closed roadway face a fine of $110 and three demerit points upon conviction.
