Man arrested on warrant faces fraud, break and enter charges

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant which was executed at a Commercial Avenue residence yesterday by the Timmins Police Service.

Acting of information received which was confirmed by investigative means, the Timmins Police Service obtained an arrest warrant for the subject related to charges of fail to appear, fraud, possession of property obtained by crime, break and enter, and breach of probation.

On the strength of the warrant, Timmins Police officers entered onto the property and located the wanted person.

As a result, William Cormier, 46 of Timmins, was arrested on the strength of the warrant.

Cormier remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins.
