TIMMINS - A multi-vehicle crash has closed a Timmins road.
The collision has closed Laforest Road, which connects Highway 655 and Airport Road.
The crash happened around 10 a.m. today (Nov. 19) and the road is expected to be closed most of the day, said Timmins Police corporate communications co-ordinator Michelle St. Louis. She would not confirm where on the road the crash happened, but said the entire stretch is closed. Social media photos show it happened at the corner of Airport Road.
Police are asking people to detour using Jubilee Avenue and Ross Avenue.
Laforest Road is part of the detour around the Connecting Link work downtown Timmins, which means that heavy truck traffic will be using Jubilee and Ross during the closure.
