TEMISKAMING SHORES - An Englehart driver is facing impaired charges after hitting two parked vehicles in front of police officers.
On Feb. 20, at 2:40 p.m., Temiskaming OPP says officers saw a vehicle hit two parked vehicles at a business on Highway 65 East in Temiskaming Shores.
The driver was arrested and taken to the local detachment for further testing.
A 28-year-old man from Englehart has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Haileybury court on March 4.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
