A Toronto teen is facing a slew of charges after an incident in Timmins.
It happened on Friday afternoon (March 10) at an apartment building, said Timmins Police in a news release.
Over the weekend, police reported that a man from the Toronto area was shot and seriously injured. On Saturday, police said he was in stable condition.
For the investigation, police had an area taped off near Living Space at the intersection of Kimberley Avenue and Spruce Street South.
A 19-year-old from Toronto, Leshawn Biggart, is facing a number of charges as a result of the police investigation. The charges are:
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Careless use of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Pointing a firearm in a careless manner
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
- Discharge of firearm with intent
- Aggravated assault
- Possess a Firearm
- Fail to comply with probation order
The accused is in police custody waiting for a court hearing tomorrow (March 15),
